66th Joint Annual Meeting
Mission:
The BKX/NIS Annual Joint Meeting provides an opportunity for students and faculty members at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's) to exchange information and present scholarly research papers in science and mathematics and to interact and network with high school students, community groups, and other scientific organizations and institutions.
Goal:
- To increase the number of well-trained minority scientists by providing students with information concerning academic support, research experiences, internships and career opportunities.
- To promote scholarly activities in the sciences, including research and science education.
- To form partnerships among host institutions, local NIS Clubs, area high schools and the surrounding communities.
Objectives:
- To sponsor meetings and conferences for the scientific community
- To provide opportunities for students to participate and present the results of their scientific research projects.
- To establish a Science Network consisting of students, educators and research professionals.
- To organize special seminars and workshops, and present distinguished speakers to provide information related to current research findings and cutting-edge technologies.

Biological science, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, Psychology, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Science Education.
